Can I attend the church ceremony even if I'm not Catholic?
Yes! People of all faiths are welcome to attend. You will receive a program of the ceremony when you arrive so you can follow all the steps. Just be careful to follow instructions on the program (and especially, do not receive the communion, a.k.a. the bread part!)
Who can I bring with me?
We understand that many are flying long distances to come celebrate with us, you are very welcome to bring your partner and/or kids with you to both events. However, we ask that you do not bring any nannies/maids, or unplanned guests with you to the reception dinner. You will receive a QR code after RSVPing to this invite to use to sign in at the reception
Is there anything happening between the ceremony and reception?
There will be a photo session at the altar after the church ceremony, and lunchboxes will be distributed to all guests to be eaten at your own convenience. You are free to roam around and explore the area until the reception dinner!
What is appropriate to wear for both events?
For church ceremony, anything polite (no open toed shoes or sandals, shorts, sleeveless, jeans or mini skirts). You are welcome to dress down a bit for this event as long as it is polite. For our Japanese guests: オシャレなデートぐらいでOKです！ It is also totally fine to just wear whatever you are wearing to the reception, to the church (no such thing as overdressing for an Indonesian wedding, unless you are wearing a literal ballgown 😁).
For the reception, formal dresscode! Dresses for the ladies, casual blazer/button down shirt for the men. Feel free to express yourself! Batik, kebaya, kimono, western, whatever colour you feel like other than full white is welcome!
Any recommendation to stay for hotel?
Yes! In fact, we are getting a group discount of 10% for a nearby 5star Indonesian-style hotel at Hotel Tentrem Jakarta, about 10 minute cab ride from both church and reception venue. It is approximately 2.3jt IDR (21K JPY, or 180SGD) per night per room for the simplest room after discount. Is there a gift registry?
Your presence is the greatest gift, but if you wish to give a monetary contribution towards our new life together, we would be very grateful. Feel free to give in any currency that is the most convenient for you. If you have an Indonesian bank account, we have also put our bank account in the e-gift section of this invitation if a transfer is more convenient for you.
